No. I recently bought two more Apple products, and will get a third shortly. I have been using Apple computers since 1985, and I am more a fan now than I ever have been.

Get the facts correct, the FBI could get into this phone any time they wanted they just wanted to make it easier to do so. All you needed to do is debugger on the memory address to find the passcode. But this involves several highly skilled people to do so, they wanted a plug n play solution.

I strongly believe this is a correct statement with "time" being the key word. Time ... .. .

All you needed to do is debugger on the memory address to find the passcode. But this involves several highly skilled people to do so,

All data on memory chip is encrypted. The software and other chips decrypt the memory. A CPU or other chip "register" at a certain place in time may give up the code. The whole encrypted (memory data) file may give up clues. Reading the memory chip is fairly easy except for it being SM (surface mount).

=FBI/Judge/Prosecuters are lazy people that don't like to work or learn new things. They are not engineers etc. =It is only hard the first time you do something. Expect Apple and others to retaliate with much stronger technology. Double encrypt your iPhone (Apple encrypt + another) = take that FBI. This is a geek vs FBI et al war.

they wanted a plug n play solution.

It's just a matter of time, probably not much, before the technique is leaked and Apple is forced to patch the vulnerability. Then, the FBI will be back in court against Apple. The next battle will be bigger.

No,I don't think it will do anything but embolden Apple to up their encryption 10 fold.

A little US$200 gadget, available on the internet, was used by a UK newspaper to hack an iPhone within 6 hours! However it appeared to be the older models that used a 4-figure code to open, not the more recent 6-figure code.

They don't need to - the encryption is already strong enough.
