    Kind of strange that they would do this now just as iPhone is selling well and Yahoo is the main internet package on the iPhone.

    I bought an iPhone and I can tell you it's absolutely not customized with specific applications from Softbank and Yahoo.

    Back to topic, I think Yahoo Japan is already quite independent from the global Yahoo network, with a lot of Japan-specific services (not compatible with the rest of the world)
