Yeah with the universal code going to the nsa. Anybody who thinks big gov wont have access to our emails whether we know it or not is fooling themselves

always a back door...
probably some months after the encryption is implemented, a new snowdin will come along with revelations and proof of how our governments are lawfully reading all our messages

If there wasn't a back door this service would not be allowed by the US government. This is the reason why the US government has forbidden Visa and Mastercard to process payments to Mega - they don't control the encryption.

It is not just big government that is gathering all our information, it's also big business. And we seem so oblivious or willing to provide it, seduced by the slightest discount or convenience. As Marshall McLuhan suggested, the medium is the message and the massage, and it has and is shaping us over to behave for the benefit of those accruing financial, political and social capital.

It's no use having encryption when you can actually log onto other people's account. Last year, there were problems with Yahoo (which they have kept very very quiet) and while trying to log onto my account, I got diverted to someone else's. As I tried to log off, I was sent to someone else's account and then another. And of course, my own account was seen by other people. Fortunately, no big damage was done - but Yahoo weren't forthcoming about this serious breach of security.

@Pukey2: I had the exact same issues with two Yahoo accounts. I was able to read teh other persons mail, and could even write and send mail. It also let me get to their password, but I could not change it as I did not have their old one. When I logged out, it sent me to a different account. I was able to see tax return copies, private letters, SS numbers etc. I was shocked.
When I got back to my own accounts at last, I immediately erased all private folders, tax docs etc. I use Yahoo Plus by the way and pay for it.
I was really shocked. What will this new encryption mess lead to?

@Pukey
That's why I don't use Yahoo for anything super private or critical. It's convenient, but can't be trusted.

@Yelnats,
I'm shocked! You seemed to be poking around that other person's email a lot instead of just logging off.
