As the article states, Yahoo(USA) hasn't done much right and in fact the amount of missteps are pretty amazing. I'm a Google user but welcome more competition.

I wish Yahoo Japan would upgrade its mail site. It's always much, much slower than the similar Yahoo US site, and both have lame limits on the number of mailboxes you can create. Have accounts at both but still use Gmail as my main Web mail address. Agree that more competition will be good, which might spur Google to keep on enhancing their site as well.

I'm perfectly happy with Gmail. Especially it and Google's interface; I don't want to know what Lady Gaga had for dinner last night or 10 Ways to Please Your Man, I just want to check my damn email.
