Nothings free

However, what YouTube has done is allow us to see many things we'll never normally see from other parts of the world. I've seen a lot of videos of Westerners telling of their experiences living in Japan, and I've seen a LOT of zenmen tenbou (Japanese for "forward view") videos of many passenger trains, giving us a great view of cities and the countryside of Japan along railroad lines.

I used to love surfing YouTube and following the related video links.

I sometimes used to do it all night before they began putting in ads at the beginning of so many of the videos.

Now after a few vids I get frustrated with it all and go to other sites.

We remember using this around '05-06 when they were still new before they sold to Google........... to watch foreign shows. lol

"U-tube? What's that?"

"No, it's spelled Youtube"

Install Adblock Plus on your web browser.

https://adblockplus.org/

Can block tracking, malware domains, banners, pop-ups and video ads - even on Facebook and YouTube

Thanks for the recommendation, lostrune2. Some ads are fine, but recently it's gotten ridiculous.

Can you image a Sony deal being done at a chain store restaurant?

Or how the idea of free content will horror a local company?

Long live the net net net!
