"to carry passengers chosen by lot"
Some passengers will be denied rickshaw service?
"retro atmosphere"
I was going to get rid of my old beat-up couch until someone recently called it "cool" and "retro."

Wouldn't this service be better offered to foreign tourists at Narita? Or do ANA think only Japanese people would be interested in a piece of Japanese history? :-7

Maybe they think the rickshaws wouldn't do well with foreign (mainly western) tourists and their mode of thinking. Plus Narita has a lot more intl. traffic and more/larger baggage (not to mention weight) per person.

Nothing says 'poor country' any more clearly than rickshaws. A sign of things to come, maybe?

The ride's free, but you have to pay a fuel surcharge, departure tax and baggage charge.
