Despite slowdown people will still consume. People will go for wal mart price goodies,Mcdonalds price type foods ,economy hotels and low cost carriers type vacations.
The not too fancy, low frills or inexpensive products and services companies will grow in 2009 and beyond. This may be a new chance oppurtunity for tourism to begin its new boom globally . The low frills, inexpensive ,not too fancy, created new growth tourism potentials,is there eveywhere to tide slowdowns.

I don't know about you guys, but I am one of those who wasn't able to spend Christmas in my home country because there is no available ticket for the Philippines, despite its balloooooooooning price during the holidays! So, whether it's crisis or not, the Filipinos will still fly back home because of Christmas! Airline executives should learn how Filipinos could defy economic theorem against all odds!
