Geishas available at Crown Macau for limited time
MACAU —
The Crown Macau has welcomed four geisha from the famed Matsunoya Geisha House in Tokyo to its signature Sakura dining room in Tenmasa, where they will be available to exclusively entertain select private parties at four-hour dinners. Lunchtime events can also be arranged upon request.
Lady Mariko – a celebrity geisha renowned throughout Tokyo for her commitment to her art - leads these authentic artistes in classical song and dance, poetry recital, the tea ceremony and the art of conversation. Lady Mariko and her geisha - who are also accomplished players of traditional Japanese instruments - are available to entertain and serve groups of up to 12 guests at a sitting.
While the services of the geisha are offered on a complimentary basis, a minimum charge of MOP 80,000 will be made per party of 12 for the highly-customised menus prepared by special guest third generation Tenmasa founder Hashii Yoshiaki in partnership with Chef de Cuisine Noguchi Takenori, an 11-year veteran of the Tenmasa craft.
Each patron will receive a kanzashi – a classic geisha hairpiece traditionally given to the geisha’s best patrons as a symbol of affection and their desire to see the patron again soon.
The geisha will be available between Sept 30 and Oct 6.
