Except for the buddy seat, I've been enjoying this on ANA flights for years. This is somehow new?

Somebody was telling me Air India has smoking and non-smoking set up as such:
Smoking: Left Side of Plane Non Smoking: Right Side of Plane
Is that true?

It was in the news about one months ago: the pilot and copilot of an Air India flight were fighting (full blown brawl) with two crew members during the fight: http://blogs.abcnews.com/theworldnewser/2009/10/air-india-pilots-crew-scuffle-leaving-cockpit-unmanned.html that's what I call onflight entertainment

I hope a melee doesn't erupt in the cabin between the pilot and crew members again.

Ohooh--I used to take theis old 747 :) on this route - what an experience!!
The toilets were old style (water latrines, with no high pressure evacuation) and one can imagine the smells aboard every time the air pressure changed (while climbing)...
Looking forward to fly in the new bird though...
