ANA on March 1 began offering in-flight Wi-Fi access, provided by OnAir of Switzerland.
First, the service is available for a few of their Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 767-300 aircraft, which usually fly to Europe, the U.S. and some Asian counties. Then, they will add the service to more airplanes for a total of 28 aircraft by the end of this year.
The fee will be $6 for 5MB, $12 for 10MB, and $24 for 20MB per flight. Payment can be made only by credit card.
Another major Japanese airlines, JAL is already offering Wi-Fi access for their international flights with 2 utility fee plans: $11.95 for 1 hour or $21.95 for 24 hours.

$24 for 20MB! Pretty much useless for surfing unless someone wants to spend 500$ for Internet access on a 12 hour flight. At these prices it's going to be mostly for emailing and instant messaging... better than nothing I guess.

JAL's pricing system makes much more sense methinks.

What's wrong with a good book or just simply sleeping? No good?
