Best Western to open resort in Phuket

Best Western has unveiled plans to open a new upscale resort on the ever-popular resort island of Phuket, Thailand.

The company has signed an agreement to operate a Best Western Premier resort in the Kamala area of the island.

Kamala Beach is a stretch of golden sand, lapped by the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea on Phuket’s popular west coast. Located just north of Patong, the island’s main tourist area, Kamala retains a quieter, more relaxed ambience, while also being just a short drive from a multitude of shopping malls, restaurants and vibrant nightlife venues.

Best Western Premier Himalai Resort will offer 425 rooms and suites, all featuring a selection of modern amenities including flat-screen TVs, universal power sockets, USB ports and complimentary Wi-Fi.

When they’re not relaxing on the sun-kissed sands of Kamala Beach, guests will be able to take a dip in the resort’s outdoor swimming pool, work out in the fitness center, or sample local and international cuisine at the resort’s two food and beverage venues.

Best Western Premier Himalai Resort will also cater to corporate guests, with meeting facilities and a business center.

“Phuket continues to enchant global travelers with its stunning sandy beaches and ever-expanding range of visitor attractions,” said Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ Managing Director of International Operations - Asia. “Best Western Premier Himalai Resort will be an exceptional upscale hotel in an idyllic setting, combining the very best of Thai hospitality with Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ world-famous international standards. I look forward to welcoming our first guests to this exciting new hotel in 2019.”

Best Western currently operates three properties in Phuket: Best Western Phuket Ocean Resort, Best Western Premier Bangtao Beach Resort & Spa and Best Western Patong Beach.
