NISEKO —

With Christmas less than a month away, Hilton Niseko Village in Hokkaido is set to once again captivate and mesmerize guests, with the unveiling of indulgent new Christmas treats and charming Christmas events.

The hotel presents its annual Christmas decorations from Dec 1 at its large hanging fire place and a jolly Santa Claus warmly welcoming guests in the hotel lobby lounge.

After enjoying Niseko’s amazing powdery snow at Niseko Village Ski resort, which starts its winter operation from Dec 1, a variety of Christmas delicacies with Hokkaido local ingredients awaits guests. Be it a traditional festive dinner at Melt Bar and Grill, a unique Teppanyaki experience with fresh Hokkaido seafood at Pirka, a Japanese dinner at Sisam, or a blissful and pampering spa treatment at award-winning Wakka Spa, Hilton Niseko Village’s Christmas enchantments will ensure a truly memorable festive season for everyone.

In addition to wide variety of winter activities such as snowshoe and snow mobile tours, there will be a rare opportunity only for Christmas – photo session with reindeers and gingerbread house making, a special appearance by Santa Claus giving out Christmas gifts at all restaurants for family fun.

With convenient ski-in, ski-out facilities and ski valet service for a hassle-free resort experience, breathtaking mountain views, natural hot spring onsen, award-winning Wakka Spa, Hilton Niseko Village promises an unforgettable holiday season for everyone.

I tried to go there once, but all the air tickets from Tokyo were sold out well in advance, due to Sapporo's snow festival, which comes exactly at the height of ski season. With better and cheaper transportation access, I'd go. Otherwise, it'll be Thailand for winter hols, where transportation is more reasonable, flexible and plentiful.
