HK Express has updated its summer flight schedule to include new, more convenient time slots to Tokyo-Haneda, increase the number of flights to Osaka and launch new flights to Fukuoka.

Through Oct 25, 2014, Toyko-Haneda flights will operate a new late night departure from Hong Kong at 23:50, with a morning departure from Tokyo at 06:20.

Flights to Osaka Osaka will now be 11 times per week, adding flights on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Fukuoka flights commence from April 10.

“We are thrilled with the performance of our Japan flights. It shows that we were correct in predicting the popularity of Japan and making this region a priority from day one after transforming into a low-cost carrier (LCC),” said Andrew Cowen, Deputy CEO of HK Express, “We fully anticipate continuing strong sales for the summer season and increasing demand from Japanese customers as well as Hong Kongers.’’

And how does one get to Haneda at the proper time when the trains aren't running? Is there a predawn-hour bus?

Stay at a hotel near the airport or go by car are your options.

If you're brave enough you can stay in the airport overnight. It's open 24 hours for international flights. @jojotoday Parking at Haneda is too expensive!
