It’s no secret that the town of Iwami in Tottori Prefecture served as the model for Iwatobi, the fictional setting of the immensely popular "Free!" TV anime series, which in turn was based on Koji Oji’s "High Speed!" light novel. In fact, the Iwami Tourism Association has used this fantasy connection to promote tourism in the region, especially after the December 2015 release of the "High Speed! -Free! Starting Days"- feature film prequel.
Fans of the series will be pleased to note that the association has also recently released a special map of the town which compiles all of the "High Speed!" film’s real-world tie-in locations.
