Fuel surcharge should be Y0 plus they should reduce basic fare, oil price now stands just US$35/barrel !

So they will continue to collect the fuel surcharge for a couple of more months, even though the price of fuel has been going down.

They cut their own throats by not scrapping the surcharge, but yet beg the government for money. They deserve to go under.

why is the fuel surcharge for hawaii higher than for other destinations with longer flight times?

Fuel prices are locked in for months. You might see $35 dollar a barrel for crude, but that benefit is months down the road.
