Japan Airlines (JAL) and Panasonic Avionics Corp have been collaborating on providing in-flight Internet service - JAL SKY Wi-Fi on international Boeing 777-300ERs, operated on North America and Europe routes in July 2012. JAL has recently reached an agreement with Panasonic to aggressively install JAL SKY Wi-Fi on its international Boeing 767-300ERs, Boeing 777-200ERs and Boeing 787s operated on its Southeast Asia and other international routes.

JAL SKY Wi-Fi on international routes is served through onboard eXConnect by Panasonic. Customers in every cabin class are able to send and receive emails, update and navigate their social networking service (SNS) utilizing their wireless LAN devices during the flight.

One-hour plan and the plan without time limits are available for the usage fee of JAL SKY Wi-Fi. The in-flight Wi-Fi connection service supports passengers' own smartphones, notebook computers and other wireless LAN devices without volume limits.

The expanded service will be onboard from April 1 to March 31, 2015.
