Kintetsu Hotel Systems partners with Marriott International

Kintetsu Hotel Systems, the management company of Miyako Hotels & Resorts, has reached an agreement with Marriott International to flag the new hotel at the Abenobashi Terminal Tower Building Annex in Osaka now under construction by Kintetsu Corporation as Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel.

The 60-floor building, scheduled to be completed in spring 2014, will rise up to 300 meters, making it the tallest in the country. The hotel features 376 guest rooms occupying 38th to 55th floors. The central location of the building above an extensive transport hub offers easy access to all corners of the city, suburbs and provinces and to Kansai International Airport in 30 minutes. The multi-faceted complex housing a department store, offices, galleries, museums and an observatory will serve as a new cultural and tourism centre for Abeno area, the southern gateway point of the city.

Offering luxury standards, Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel also features a 19th-floor reception lounge, 20th-floor meeting space and the highest fine dining restaurant in the city on the 57th floor.

Kintetsu Hotel Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kintetsu Corporation manages Miyako Hotels & Resorts, a major Japanese upscale hotel brand with 21 distinctive properties including two in U.S.
