Peninsula Tokyo receives 2 MINI Cooper S Clubman cars
TOKYO —
The Peninsula Tokyo has added two new MINI Cooper S Clubman cars to its current fleet of two Rolls-Royce Extended Wheelbase Phantoms, two BMW 750 Lis, one 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom II and an Audi R8.
The hotel is introducing The Peninsula MINI Concierge Service as a complimentary amenity to guests staying in suites. Available daily from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on a first-come first-served basis, suite guests may use the chauffeur-driven MINIs for up to three hours within a 10-kilometer radius of the hotel.
The Peninsula’s order is the first time that MINI has custom-made a car – similar to the hotel’s Rolls-Royce fleet with over 200 customized features exclusive to The Peninsula. The personalization process of these compact, yet dynamic, vehicles took over two years to perfect. Dedicated features include a tailor-made rooftop box, a mini-fridge, and an iPhone. Each car also includes a custom-illuminated Peninsula logo on door entry sills, leather finishing matching the existing Rolls-Royce interiors, and the signature Peninsula Green livery that adorns every vehicle in the hotel’s transport fleet.

They should have added 4 REAL Mini Coopers instead. ;)

I guess you meant 'original'. So far as I know, all are quite "real".

Chauffeur-driven Minis? Who would want to be driven around in a Mini? They're only fun when you get to drive them yourself. I certainly hope they let you do more than ride shotgun in the R8...

roof box, fridge and an iphone? no way. highten the suspension, add dirt traction tires, lower the passanger seat and slap in a roll cage. a rally chauffuer would be an awesome addition. i think mini would sell more if the showed the rally footage.

new minis are not fun to drive..non i have driven anyway...such a massive disappointment and horrible care to drive. Only a fashion car for women. Chauffeur driven in such a small car.. maybe really thinking of the customer.

Agree the original Mini's were fun to drive.
My Wife had a Leyland Mini 1275(SA edition, square indicators in front, etc), that think moved and cornered like anything. But than she had 4 Bikers working on it and tuning it. Watch the original "Italian Job" movie for fun.
Fully agree don't see the sense in having a chauffeur in a Mini or similar sized car.
