Sail away: Celebrity Cruises to start all-inclusive Japan voyages this fall

Celebrity Cruises will be starting a brand new holiday tour in the Japanese market in October. This will be the first cruise of its kind — a seven-night Japan and Korea tour of the most famous scenic spots in the archipelago.

The world-famous premium brand will be bringing its 91,000-ton Celebrity Cruises to Japan. While the sales of the tour will be handled solely by Celebrity Cruise's Japanese agency, Miki Tourist, the staff onboard the ship will be comprised of international recruits and the main language will be English. "We want to make it an easy, comfortable travel experience for foreigners. They will not have to worry about any language barriers," said Chisa Emori, marketing chief of Miki Tourist. “Just relax and enjoy high-quality dining experiences and great service.”

With 12 decks and an occupancy of 2,158 passengers, Celebrity Millennium will set sail from Kobe to Kochi then take travelers to visit Korea's major port in Busan for an evening stopover to enjoy some local food or shopping. From there the ship will head to see Japan's kouyou (autumn leaves) in Akita, as well as Mt. Fuji in Shizuoka. "Our goal is to show them the best natural scenes of Japan." Emori added. Travelers will have an option to end their trip in either Kobe or Yokohama.

While on board, the all-inclusive Celebrity Millennium offers 11 restaurants, as well as  many relaxation and entertainment facilities including a light therapy pool, a gym, a 1,300-seat theater with shows every night and a relaxation spa. The Celebrity iLounge is the first authorized reseller of Apple products at sea. It allows guests to stay connected 24 hours a day. Except for specialty restaurants, all meals are included within the tour fee, starting at ¥149,800 per person for an interior room. Guests can also choose from a variety of room upgrade options, such as ocean view, veranda or “Concierge/Aqua Class.”
