Shangri-La Hotel offers special afternoon tea to mark 1st anniversary

TOKYO —

To celebrate the first anniversary of the Shangri-la Tokyo, and to commemorate the opening of Shangri-La Hotel, Paris, later this year, the Tokyo hotel’s Lobby Lounge is offering a special afternoon tea set featuring the flavors of Paris.

Guests who partake of the Afternoon Tea à la française (for 3,900 yen) will enter a lucky draw to win a trip to Paris with Air France and become one of the first guests of the new Shangri-La Hotel, Paris. The winner will be entitled to return tickets for two to Paris with Air France from Tokyo, a stay in a Deluxe room with breakfast for two at Shangri-La Hotel, Paris, and have a private cooking class and tickets for Louvre museum.

    And I don't recommend the "flavours of Paris" especially in a hot summer day. More like the stench of Paris :)) This article (and generally this offer) sounds like an advertisement for a very expensive lottery to win a trip to Paris anyway... Some more info about what the consumer gets for his 3900?
