Wow, this is a great experience for both foreign visitors and Japanese guests to Tokyo-based Shangri-la Hotel. The charge of 49450 Yen, including tax and service per night is a good deal for all guests who want to have "Shangri-la Experience". A couple has an ideal experience at this hotel in this season. From the top-floor of the complex, guests can view beauty of Tokyo's nights and surrounding areas in Tokyo.

The place is ridiculously overpriced and there are nicer hotels in Tokyo. Tourists should pass on the offer.

The offered package just covers a hotel room and a free breakfast, so we need to pay for other services to make at least 60,000 Yen or 80,000 Yen a day to stay at Tokyo-based Shangri-la Hotel. For a honeymoon or special vacation, a couple can enjoy such experience if they can afford the cost. The investor and Hotel management team have analyzed Tokyo's markets before they have adjusted prices flexible to each special seasons; otherwise they may not receive enough reservation and in-advance-booked guests in Japan and foreign countries.

Like asianTourist said, the foreign visitors will just be so thrilled at this bargain offer. I am not thrilled about the fact that you need to have once again a Facebook account to receive those vouchers.

Both the Shangri-La and the Mandarin Oriental down the road from it seem to specialise in making guests feel as uncomfortable as possible. Stayed at both last year; it's hard to relax at those places, they are just too formal, the staff look down their noses at you, despite you're paying top prices for their services. As AB said, there are nicer places in Tokyo...

Get what you pay for! cheap versus expensive Low quality versus high quality
People sure seem to have an irrational psychological fear for luxury and expensive. The Chinese are more than glad to be rich! The rest of you are so depressing and yes even whiners.
Nice hotel
