Wish they would pass the savings on to passengers as fast as they pass on increases of fuel costs to passengers.
When the cost of fuel went up, they passed the increase to passengers quickly.
So why not pass the savings to passengers as fast.

"Some companies said they are using the windfall in fuel costs to reduce debt and to make needed reinvestment in their infrastructure... “We are utilizing our cash to continue to secure our future,” said Gerry Laderman, senior vice president at United Airlines."
Cheaper tickets will come someday.

Yeah, I suppose a return ticket from Japan to Europe costing 2,000 yen less than last year does mean ticket prices are cheaper. Looking forward to it dropping another 2,000 yen next year.

I've gotten some great fares recently. Maybe 30-40 percent cheaper than before.

Then oil would be even cheaper, as more Russian oil floods into the already saturated market

Governments need revenue. Revenue comes from taxes on all fuels. Low fuel prices means low income for the governments. Result=no lower prices for tickets because the airport fees, TSA, etc will increase. There is no free lunch.
