Definitely a step in the right direction. Put everything up front so consumers can have information to make necessary choices in advance of arriving at the gate.

The fees are so complex that even if they put everything up front, consumers are too stupid to understand the fees.

$893 million on something that used to be free. With numbers like this they are not done with trying to charge for water or going to the toilet!

I'm pretty stupid myself so if I have a choice between an airline with the total price hidden in small print versus and airline with One Price! I'll probably choose the one-price airline, even if it works out to be a bit more expensive. As for 'complex' pricing, who created that? The airlines.

AA (American Airlines) did not give me any hidden fees, but THEY TOLD ME ONE PRICE OVER THE PHONE, and when I got the bill, completely different PRICE! Then out of the blue they OVER CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD for over 150,00 yen!! Making my credit card MAX OUT because I had just bought a new AC, new fridge etc..and 4 tickets for my family here in Japan to go back to Mexico this Christmas! So everyone beware, these punks at AA will try to shake you down for every penny, yen, you have, but once my wife got some nice Japanese lawyers to investigate this case, WOW!!! How AA changed their tune! I even got a surprise DISCOUNT! I guess they did not want a lawsuit??

The airlines have us by the balls. We can't do anything except threaten to take boats.

This is one of many reasons why I love Korean Air: Go to their website, punch in the dates you want to travel and you get one, single price which includes everything. Just booked my return flight to Frankfurt in spring for 11 man.
