Good. More dead Taliban means a more stable Afghanistan.

This is a bit worrying. Having news stories that quote big body counts is so Vietnam.

"This is a bit worrying. Having news stories that quote big body counts is so Vietnam."

It's only worrying if you are anti-civilization.

Now stand by for the news from Tallywood that they were all 100 innocent little women and babies. Easy prediction.

You missed my point, I am a former infantry officer who has played war for real. Getting hung up on body counts used ends up with lots of "collateral damage," namely, the killing of innocent civilians, etc.

What and revert back to the original story, before they suddenly graduated to militants and terrorists?

100 militants killed, but populations in afghanistan is booming with good foreign ties .

Afghanistan has been centre of global attention and global media since 2001. Since 2001 foreign funds to are slowly transfroming afghans with Marshall plan for roads, buildings, economy, cyber age news media and other foreign world goodies.

The sanctions are gone, afghans and iraqis are free like the rest of world with full multiparty politics and freedom to trade globally.

Now with democratic systems beginings and no taliban systems, the have even more freedom to create chaos too.

True peace will come when taliban politics and other political groups in afghanistan change mindsets . The common united afghan sucess is via burying the hatchets political dialogues for peace .

We do not know when peace/progress will come, but small steps for afghan road to sucess have started. Recent global economic woes may lower funds for afghanistan's progress.

Afghanistan population is 32 million people and is increasing. Many still very poor via bad economy ruined by ceaseless civil strife.

Hope UN and others can do more to better people in afghanistan via more economic empowerment projects.

With all the bombings striking that country day in and day out, one is bound to hit militants once in a while. That is, inbetween all the civilians killed.

I saw photographs of some of those killed,at pajhwok.com(afghan news website).

The photos really show the tragedy and cruelty of war.
