“Martin McGuinness—a former IRA commander”
For “IRA commander” read murderer, & now police informer, because you can put money on it that McGuinness handed this current team of killers over to the police. The IRA have never had any values not even within their own grouping. We will never know but it wouldn’t surprise me if McGuinness knew in advance that these killings were going to take place, after which he could distance himself from the bad guys & play at being the good guy AND get rid of a few difficult people by handing them over to the police.

McGuinness was a former commander in the Provisional IRA, and is not connected to the groups that have claimed responsibility for these attacks.

thepro: Mcguinness is the puppet master of the terrorists, he still has his finger on the trigger, the wretched Catholic swine.

Both sides just can't control their violent urges.

These people have the support of about 300 people in NI. Everyone else is in full support of the peace process. The provo army council ordered all members to stand down and put all weapons beyond use. McGuinness and Adams have asked for the whold community to help the police. Those are the facts of the matter.

Knackers: Incorrect. They have the support of tens of thousands of Catholics who wish Ireland to be unified. The 300 figure is the amount trained and prepared to commit acts of terror. rollonarte: The IRA want to remove the protestents from Ireland, ethnic cleaning in other words. The protestants want democratic peace.

ClassWarUK. Plenty of protestants in Ireland want Ireland to be unified. Try to use nationalist and loyalist, otherwise you come across as a sectarian. There may be plenty of people that want a unified Ireland, but through peaceful means. The IRA are no longer in operation, were you referring to the RIRA and CIRA? Also, the ethnic cleansing already happened in Ulster, that's why there's a catholic minority.
