Unfortunate the U.S. couldn't attend. Must be some reason for supporting cluster bomb usage and production. I dunno, maybe effective against terrurists?

But crucially, the United States, Russia, China, India, Israel and Pakistan—all major producers and stockpilers of cluster bombs—were all absent from the Dublin talks, and thus not part of the agreement.

I'm not surprised at this at all. Countries that use and profit from the sell of cluster bombs. When the Hisbollah children were dieing from bomblets exploding from Isreali cluster bombs dropping down, I hoped the US would stand up and take notice.

They did, they made more bombs.

    A disgrace.

Ireland has really come quite a ways, hosting conferences like this. Throw off the Pommie yoke and the deleterious effects following the Brits can have, adopt American capitalist ideals and watch your nation grow and prosper. Good to see them giving something back.
