I bet there are almost millions of people in the UK who have "links to Pakistan and Bangladesh" but are not terrorists.
Wow, it took the AP until the next to last paragraph to mentioned the un-PC "Islamist" detail. You would think this should be near the top of the story, as links to radical Muslim organizations better explains the motives and connections of the would-be terrorists better than merely "having links to Pakistan and Bangladesh".

manfromamerika:
Sure, but how many terrorists are there who do not have "links to Pakistan and Bangladesh"? It is not like jihadist terrorism grows out of nowhere and infects people randomly; much as the media tries to present it like that.

These clowns probably wanted to pull off something like the Mumbai massacre. What comes next week, I wonder. Will it be the UK, or Sweden again, or Portland, Oregon?

WilliB I agree with you, I'm merely commenting about the MSM's unwillingness to attribute terrorists to Islamic radicalism.

The UK seems to be becoming a paradise for these "home grown" terrorists. I sure hope the British police have great successes in thwarting them. International cooperation will be needed. But they sure have their hands full with watching the mosques of the nation.

The last scare-mongering turned out to be nothing more than some dumbass muslim kids full of hot air, oh and I think they found an air-rifle they buried in the woods.
This didn't stop panic at airports about liquid explosives or my girlfriend's expensive perfume hitting the bin at customs.

I wonder about the difference between the number of people being arrested for terrorist plots and those actually being convicted. You hardly read anything about the second ones.

UK haven't paused one bit. Good riddance to all these terrorist scumbags. But as we found out, in Aust'l, in the case of Mohammed Haneef-- arresting these would-be terrorists could be expensive, and quite a challenge.

Unfortunately this is the price of multiculturalism and PC gone wrong. A lot more countries will experience this soon.

The price of multiculturalism and the benfits and drawbacks it has for society is one i am ok with. Britain is a better more tolerant and more enriched society now.
