    HAHAHA dragonczar is so funny!

    Oh wait. He is serious?

dragonczar...your thinking is outdated and has no place in this modern world. I know you're just parroting the CCP position as usual but that's the problem that China carries on it's back if it seriously thinks it's going to be some kind of "leader" in the 21st century.

Dragonczar, you would be pretty hilarious if you didn't actually believe that junk. Lesson One - don't believe anything you see on CCTV! Lesson Two - don't believe anything the CCP tells you, they only tell you what they want you to hear.

China needs to tread lightly. If they deem it necessary to crack down with brutal force, it will only sow the seeds for deeper bitterness and unrest which could last for decades, if not centuries.

The US has plenty of experience in this regard, most recently with the invasion and brutal military occupation of Iraq over the past 6 years. Hundreds of thousands of civilians killed, wounded, maimed and tortured, with the end result being that almost every Iraqi civilian is now hostile towards the US.

Yes we can feel dragonczar's love for his countryman. Nandakandamanda has his points too. Ethnocentric insensitivity is happening all over the world. We are all struggling to live together in harmony with each other. We might not be of the same colour or religion but we do not overstep certain sensitive issue that might stir up unrest.

China doesn't mess around. At least democratic Iran allowed 2 weeks of protests.

pawatan: lesson three - take everything the western media feeds you with a grain of salt.

This is 'intifada' in central asia and of course the price of kicking up such unnecessary chaos will paying heavy price to let them know who is who!

Here is the oppurtunity to show China is a real leader of of 21st century by showing the will of defiance! Only swift and brute treating method can bringing law, order, fair and justices in Xinjiang!

maglev101: oh, those were lessons for dragonczar. I learned your lesson three many many years ago.

    dragonczar, I disagree.

China needs to show tolerance. The Uighur population is one of the many minority groups of China and they must be treated with respect. Any harsh crackdown resembling martial law will be met by mass unrest, to include hit and run attacks, IED roadside bombs, kidnappings, torture, and terrorist bombings, as experienced by the US in Iraq during the past 6 years.

It's a pity that the natives are being abused but what is anybody going to do about it? A lot of hand wringing but not much more, I'll bet.

Cute dragonczar. Don't you know you are and always will be under the thumb of the USA?

Don't know that yet? Not surprising. You will likely never know. Still you are cute in your beliefs. All hail the China awesomeness! LOL

  • skipthesong at 10:55 AM JST - 7th July

dragonczar: aren't the Uighur people indigenous to that area? that question is only if you are Chinese.

  • lacrimosa at 05:20 PM JST - 8th July

what makes us sad most is the death of innocent civilians.its nothing about the CCTV or CCP.
