“Their dreams have now come true. Everyone sounded unbelievably happy,” a new statement on Jordan’s blog said Saturday morning.

Big Bear, Cali has a new hero. Grats to Jordan ROMERO and his team :|

Wow, imagine if he hadn't made it. A 13 year old boy. I think the Americans are a bit too extreme with their "extreme sports."

After you have climbed the world's highest mountain at age 13, what do you do with the rest of your life?

The boy probably got himself a corporate sponsor. It's still a big feat, whether he did or not :|

Wow... amazing. With all the crappy news in this day and age it's nice to hear something like this -- a dream being realized, and still room to expand -- as small as it might be. Good job, young man!

Some of your statements are very bizarre at times, my friend. First off, I know a heck of a lot more Aussies that are into extreme sports than Americans, but my point is that a young boy achieved a fete that none had before him, and in that he also achieved a dream. Both are things to be celebrated, not a reason for racial comments. When Ishikawa was recognized by Guinness for his recent victory I didn't see too many people saying, "Wow... imagine if he didn't make it. Japanese should engage in REAL sports instead of ones that put you to sleep". haha. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Again, though, good on the kid -- he has done what pretty much all the adults in the world cannot or would not try to do. It's only up from here... errr... in terms of dreams, since he has gotten as high as you can get.

I wonder how difficult this climb was compared to other expeditions up Everest. What's the weather there like around this time of the year? I've flown over Kilimanjaro en route from Nairobi to Zanzibar...totally awesome view. Everest is much higher for sure. Kili doesn't have the nasty weather though.

Grats for this kid :). He's accomplished something and devoted himself to doing something a lot more positive than many other youth his age. Lol I'm imagining upon his return to school some of the other students bothering him and he can respond,"I've climbed to the top of Mt.Everest, what about you?"

    "What was the point really?"

Why are you climbing this mountain?

    Because it's there...

I don't think you read the article, nor are you serious in your response. But that's you, I imagine.
