No matter what and how many talks they make with the govt nothing is going to come out of it. There would still be clashes. The ODA to the Southern Phils doesn't serve its real purpose because the ultimate dream of every Muslims in Mindanao is secession. The peace loving civilians are caught between loyalty to the Phil govt and the militants. At times them having to pay taxes to both.

I love the "suspected". The jihad in Mindanao has been going on ever since islam came to Mindanao, and it will continue until Mindanao is under Shariah. Not really different from anywhere else.

This is nothing new, its been going on since forever. Phillipines is just one of the many non-"christian" origin countries that have to deal with Islamic extremism. I love how some people still try to make out that Islam only targets christianity and judaism while the hindu, buddists, and local religions are suffering under Islamic conquests in non western countries.
