This is the third story in about a month involving children and trucks in some sort of accident in China that I've read about.

My first comment was deleted so I'll go ahead at get serious now (been watching too much American late night comedy). Seriously though...why can't China start cracking down on road safety. It's true, these types of accidents happen all too often. These are children that died. It's time their politicians start doing something about this.

People should start following the rules of the road.

Terrible tragedy. I hope Chinese road safety improves along with its material wealth. Interesting use of the term 'northwestern' China though. Looking at the map, it is more like central or north central China. The 'nortwestern' would only make sense if Tibet and Xinjiang are excluded and we are talking about China 'proper'. Not that I am against that necessarily, but I wonder if it was deliberate.

Very, very sad and this so called kindergarten should get the DEATH PENALTY for allowing so many innocent children to be taken on this bus, I can not even try to imagine the pain of the children and let alone that of their parents, who are only allowed to have 1 child. RIP little angels

elbud mexico:

Eh, last time I checked, you get school buses in Japan too. Do you suggest they take one kid at a time?

Theeastisred:

I doubt anything will change. The cars in China scare the hell out of me. Only India is worse.

Nineteen people, 17 of them children, were killed in a collision between an overloaded school bus this says it all to me, this KINDERGARTEN should get the death penalty for being so greedy and putting $$$ over the lives of this little innocent children. RIP little innocent angels

China doesn't care about human life. There was a case a few years ago where a woman deliberately ran down and killed a man, because he dented her BMW. It was settled out of court for $11,000.

My only comment it is sad all of these children died and sad the 2 adults died. I pray for the dead and their families.

What a load of nonsense, oginome. Look, China is a developing nation, overcrowded and unregulated - just like India. This is a tragedy - probably avoidable - however to try and belittle a whole nation of 1.4 Billion people and somehow suggest that Chinese people do not value human life is a disgrace. Take your garbage comments to 2-channel.

Rest in Peace poor little ones.

BurakuminDes, Thank you for your priorities. While I am often critical about the Peoples Republic of China's government, have none but the best thoughts and wishes for the people. Often think of my cousins in China and hope that things go well for them. Thus it is the loss of the 17 children and 2 adults that is important. China has been growing quickly and it must be hard to regulate things. Again, again my thoughts are with the victims and their families.

State enforced 'socialism' and deprivation has led to mass desensatization among the populace. Life in China is cheap, developing nation or not.

Apparently 62 children and 2 adults were in a minibus with seating for 9.

Of the 44 of those involved that are still in hospital, 12 of them are in a serious condition and 2 are critical.

Indeed this accident was caused by human errors that has to be condemned but if anyone'politicaleized' this matter and blaming all Chinese people then you are pathetic! May God helps you out of your own little world! By the way when you compare the'W' administration response after Hurricane 'Katrina', you will realize the definition of selafish' in a so-called civilzed country! The disregard of human lives was wonderful!

Unfortunately, this happens too often in China per driver. China needs to educate its drivers better about the rules of the road.

Haven't 'politicized' anything, just stated a fact.

I'm not American.
