This is a very important event for both countries. It is also an important "signal" for the rest of the world.
Something is about to occur... There is one or more common problem/s that the two countries must discuss.
We need to know what that problem/s is/are.
After these many years, the border problem between them at least in my view at this particular time is not the major issue. Religion and race are the two major divisive issues. They share a common base for those, with communism acting the role of religion for the North. The division was and has been more political with foreign influence and beyond their control for the time being. They have been trying to become one... for many many years.
Then why now?
