Yet another Leftist protest group that wants to impose it's opinions and values on the rest of the world. I find it to be very ironic that they would make the Olympics the target for their violent activities. I guess they got tired of hammering nails into trees in order to kill or injure loggers. I guess those nut jobs need to do something while waiting to disrupt the next G-8 Summit.

    I'll just agree with Riley. < :-)

Riley Arcand lives near the store and called the vandalism “disgusting.”

Maybe they were rattle because the government was late in delivering its free heroin to them that day?

As a business owner would be ticked off. Especially when this is the time to make money. That being said. It is no more than conservatists trying to tell others who they can/cannot marry, study religion in school, what we can can't do to our bodies, what government you should have and what religion is best.

Protest of the Olympics has some good reasons, not the least of which is the huge expense to taxpayers for no benefit to them. Olympic protestors span the political spectrum, and the tax issues are things the conservatives are known for protesting I should think. Not sure about the "Don't use my traditional lands" sort of protest, but it seems kind of conservative to me. The environmental issues we could call leftist, along with the protest of the crackdown on the homeless in Vancouver.

Anybody making this a left/right issue is trying way too hard to do so. Its almost like they have been trying to crawl out of pit since Obama took office.

Its hard to say what they should break in protest. On the one hand a department store may seem innocent. On the other hand, if the owner is heavily involved in some dirty aspect of the Olympics, that could change things. But I can't say I approve only because I don't know all the details. But I can tell you that I get pretty miffed when my taxes go up, though it usually only results in me yelling at people at the city hall. That never changed anything by the way. But I don't feel guilty for yelling at the soldiers who carry out bad orders.

They should have handed out free booze and drugs the evening prior to the opening day, there would have been fewer "protestors" complaining about how the Olympics are nothing but a waste of money.........

The Olympics Network was smashing store windows to try and "disturb business as usual"?? And just how does that impact the Olympics? It doesn't. Threatening people with a chain wrapped around your fist?? Yeah, that'll win people over in support of your cause. Cripes. Buddy probably wasn't protesting anything or at least didn't know what he was protesting, just wanted to join the party...

They are nothing but terrorists wanting to spoil the party for everyone. Nothing but a bunch of cowards by hiding behind their hoodies.

Hopefully these 7 protesters who were arrested can tell the cops who the other protesters are so they don't have to pay for the damage all by themselves.

Just make Trustfund Bohemian-Anarchist Window Smashing and Paint Tossing an Olympic event in its own right.
