I can wait to see people come on here and try to spin the facts that this year is the hottest as though the recorded temperatures are some kind of 'theory'.

Wow, everything in this article seems to point towards global warming. Why did they omit all the information that does not support the global warming theory. For example, no mention of the increasing of the Antarctic ice, which is much larger than the Arctic ice.

report from the National Snow and Ice Data Center said Arctic sea ice cover appears to have reached its minimum extent for the year...

Wow, who would have expected that the lowest amount of Actic ice during the year would be found at the end of summer?

Actually, what I find interesting is when people blame cold spells on global warming. Too hot? Global warming. Too cold? Global warming. Don't like what's on TV? Global warming.

To be fair, you are confusing actual 'WARMING' with climate change; one of the reasons the term has been changed. Climate change helps explain a lot of erratic weather and what not while still showing that, on average, the temperatures are increasing. It's only the opponents who actually look at colder than normal weather and say, "So much for global WARMING, huh? chortle".

This guy explains it quite well:

"Researchers" for the global warming theory are on a gravy train.

    Good, last winter was awful.

Oh, I'm convinced, there's no such thing as global warming.

Oh I was just teasing. I believe the myth. Last summer wasn't that cold and this summer has been warmer then usual.

You are entitled to your opinions, also. < :-)

There is no man-made global warming. I know because I have read that in the Japan Today comments.
