This is all Obama's fault. He wants to remove troops from Iraq. Bush was correct for going to war with Iraq. Now we need to stay there for 100 years maintaining 130,000 troops because Dumbocracy works.

At least they targeted soldiers and not civilians like the cowards yesterday.

Oh goodDonkey, you're such a funny guy.

But we do need to bring our troops home. Our brave Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines have served this war long enough. < :-)

Its getting really bad in Iraq again after 18 months of steady progress. Nice move Obama for announcing a withdrawal date. You've messed up any chance for Iraqis to live in a Democracy.

You are right VOR, not one American or Iraqi died before President Obama got to office. Now look almost 5000 soldiers and 250000 Iraqis dead in less than 5 months! Wow can you believe that!

When Bush and Cheney were in office our troops had it real easy there. They had all the body armor they could use. Their vehicles were well armored. The Iraqi people were safe and well fed. Hell the Iraqi's had electricity 24/7. Now look at Iraq!

Hell our troops were thrown flowers when they arrived, now look at what is happening.....

You are right VOR it is all President Obama's fault!LOL

See, I told you so. VOR knows all about Dumbocracy.

This comes with the withdrawal, they know how long they have to inflict damage on the American military and that once the U.S is gone the current Iraqii government can be dissolved with relative ease. Maybe it is best for America that the troops be recomitted to Afghanistan but there's going to be a lot of dead Iraqiis paving the way.

VOR's argument just got whacked out of the ballpark. :-)

Funny thing is, this whole war was started by a former alcoholic - bush - and a serial draft dodger - Cheney - who got FIVE draft deferments during the Vietnam war. He is an outright coward, who ran to the bunker after 9/11 and spewed fear every day afterward.

Cheney, along with his pal bush, was more than happy to start a war with other people's kids, but he wouldn't dare to wear the uniform of the US Armed Forces and face combat himself.

Pathetic loser. But the Republicans love him. lol!

It's just a pity all those who lost their lives would still be alive had it not been for the bush-cheney war of choice.

I can't believe what is going on in Iraq. Once the safest place in the MId East, now turned into a terrorist hotspot by the Americans.

Why do more and more have to die, this news is bloody awful. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Blair should all be sent to the Hague they are murderers.

Hey anti Americans, Iraq is in chaos because Saddam was in cohorts with terrorists. We suffered 9/11, we had to protect our homeland.

Iraq is stable. A few bad guys are left, funded by Iran and Syria. Slowly but surely they will be brought to justice or killed. We will never know how many innocent American lives were saved by removing Saddam, the anti USA crowd never mention that.

facts are facts, bombings were down all over the country until Obama stupidly announced America's pullout dates. All the terrorists have to do now is continue these type attacks until America pulls out to claim victory.

not surprised, we now have a commander in chief that didn't even have enough experience to lead a boy scout troop. how can we expect him to lead the world's most powerful military?

SushiSake: "VOR's argument just got whacked out of the ballpark. :-)"

Lest we forget, VOR actually came on here a couple of months ago and literally said GWB didn't start the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, but that Obama did.

He has absolutely zero.... ZERO credibility.

"not surprised, we now have a commander in chief that didn't even have enough experience to lead a boy scout troop. how can we expect him to lead the world's most powerful military?"

Case in point: I like the, "we 'now' have a commander in chief...", pretending GWB and Cheney and Co. had ever seen conflict aside from how to spell their names on the draft-dodging forms.

sarge: "You can forget that - they're going to Afghanistan. Can you believe that?"

No kidding! That place where OBL was and that GWB left since he couldn't find him and so went off to an adventure in Iraq!! Imagine that!

Since of course you would never go to either, how does it affect your browser?

Just curious though, since you think the troops should obviously all come home instead of going to Afghanistan to help the crumbling situation we all pointed out would happen when bush invaded, then prematurely left and illegally invaded Iraq, you're finally admitting you're against both and the troops should just come home tomorrow? Thanks for clarifying that.

Vor: "okay smith put up or shut up"

Suits me, you're not going to like it, though -- or at least you're not going to admit it:

"VOR at 02:40 PM JST - 15th February ...You are so blinded by your own bias you can't even bring yourself to go back and confirm Bush inherited a recession when he took over in 2001. I think you also leave out the impact 911 had on the US economically. Disagree with the war, but it isn't Bushes war..."

That's one of dozens of hits along the same lines, my friend... back when you couldn't stop saying, "The fleecing of America continues" (about 10 times a day) and then finally when your defense became, "Anything interesting ever happen in Canada?"

But hey, go on again about credibility, my friend. Since your challenge has been met, time for you to 'shut up', as you say.

Moderator: No more sniping at each other please.

If the meaning still isn't so clear, I'll restate my position right now. Those that call either the Iraq or Afghanistan wars Bush's wars ignore the fact that both wars were unanimously approved by both political parties using the same intelligence and evidence collected during the Clinton administration and from America's allies. If the Democrats thought going into Iraq or Afghanistan were a bad idea or the evidence for war not convincing enough they should have voted against one or both endeavors undermining the war effort for political expediency.

Moderator: Readers, please focus your comments on the story, not at each other. Sniping at each other will not be allowed.

Obamma did not announce the "pull out dates" as a matter of fact; Bush did. Obama had no authority when Bush made these decisions. But "zero credibility" is as accurate as you could get to describe those conservatives who have never been able to keep their facts straight. I seriously doubt if they ever listen to facts. There most popular spokesperson flunked out of college but assumes the role as the biggest "know-it-all" in America.

Since there was no Al Qaeda in Iraq before we step in the shite, the main source of fighting has always been between the two factions consisting of Shiites an Sunnis. This article stated:

Al-Maliki has suggested offering reconciliation to Saddam followers who are willing to support the government—a call that drew sharp criticism from fellow Shiite politicians.

Without political reconciliation there will be no peace. This Iraq war will be one of the biggest fiascos

    goodDonkey

I did not even hit post and it posted. Damn it! Anyway I was in the process of correcting fiascoes to read: This Iraq war will be one of the biggest fiascoes in American history. We had such a clear military advantage with our early military victories but Bush was a lousy C-in-C. He pissed away those advantages because he lacked the foresight to plan for the peace that would ensue after engagement victories. He did nothing to immediately win the peace. Those early mistakes were one of the main reasons Iraq is in the mess it is in today. Silly conservatives boasted about meaningless victories when the job at hand was never completed.

So now the idiots want us to clean up their mess and what ... leave troops in there indefinitely.

The facts are the Neo-Cons ruined our country's finances, our fight against the actual perpetrators and moral standing in the world. Their followers can't get the facts straight with an entire internet at their disposal. In a related side note literacy demands that you know the difference between Bushes the plural and Bush's the possessive. But facts and literacy are unimportant to the knuckle-dragging conservatives.

It is time for the conservatives to take responsibility for their failure. Some are in denial and just say "I don't talk about Bush and neither can you." "I don't talk about Cheney." "You guys have BDS." Those conservatives mix denial with an attempt at suppression of our presentation of the facts. Then we have those who are conveniently able to ignore the failures of the Neo-Cons and blame Obama for these bombings and every other subsequent negative consequence of the previous administrations failures.

If it were not such a tragedy it would be a comedy.

VOR; It is all the bleeding neo cons fault son. They have destroyed the Mid East, encouraged thousands of Palestinian deaths and made Iraq a hotbed of terrorism. Well done Republicans of the good ol US of A.

thanks for making the problems in the middle east so simple Neil. Who would have ever thought the neo cons were the root of all evil?
