I was ecstatic for some good news until the final blurb about U.S. lead coalition forces supported with air strikes.

rjd jr - You were ecstatic about two policemen being killed and 3 more being wounded?

No sarge, I was excited at first reading the tally from this battle. 30 taliban killed while 2 police died defending their post, pretty good ratio. It sounded really good, the police it seems did a fantastic job, and were more capable than their counterparts in Iraq who still don't know how to tie the laces on their boots. But then as usual the last sentence gave it away, U.S. lead coalition forces bombarded the area with airstrikes.

So, it's not a lone effort after all. Just the usual "U.S. led airstrikes." That more police weren't killed is fortunate.

Obama's war mongering talk will not help. I thought he would have learned by now from the catastrophic mistakes by Bush but I guess not.
