Like it or not, it is politically smart that they are targeting police and not civilians (and like or not, Cheng was too involved with police to really be considered a civilian). On the other hand though, this sort of consistency speaks of coordination, and that can lead police to the masterminds.

@Peace Out t is politically smart that they are targeting police

Please tell me this expression was a typo. How can murder, targeting police, ever be 'smart'?

When the police are the hands of a corrupt government. For example, who would have complained if policemen under the Shah in the 1960s got attacked in Iran? I am sure most would have cheered so long as civilians weren't killed.

I am not saying the Aussie government is that corrupt, but there are those who see it as such who could be swayed, who might otherwise not be impressed if they were killing civilians.

When you go militant, you are supposed to attack uniforms. Attack anyone else and you are a terrorist. So, its also smart because people who can think will see that the government and press are lying when they use the word "terrorist". Sadly, its not smart enough, because it does not take into account just how stupid most people are.

The latest terrorist attack in Australia will not be last. Malcolm Turnbull was very weak and soft on Muslim extremism. The boy had shouting "Allah hu Akbar" in Arabic it means "God (Allah) is greatest' and shot dead Curtis Cheng and shooting at Police Officers. It was terrorism act but nothing else. Malcolm Turnbull was only making his image looking good in Muslim community. Malcolm Turbull doesn't understand how Islam sees non-Muslim peoples. Malcolm Turbull Government must tough on Muslim extremism otherwise we can't live and go freely as before we enjoy in Australia. The Muslim terrorists are recruiting and brain washing to children for terrorism attacks on non-Muslim Australian peoples. The Muslim extremists know the children will be sending to children court and they will be released in a few years or a few months if they were caught alive.

Malcolm Turbull and ABC have accused former elected PM Tony Abbott for discriminating against Muslim Community and Tony Abbott was blamed for young Muslim becoming extremer in Australia by Muslim Community. Koran should be edited and removed all inciting words about murdering on non believer infidel from book. If someone has written and inciting for killing someone who doesn’t follow his ideology and then that book will be banned and the court will be jailed that author for inciting hatred and for murder. 15 - year old Muslim terrorist has killed civilian Police employee under Malcolm Turnbull Government. It doesn't matter Muslim terrorists will kill infidel non-Muslims if you soft or tough against Muslim extremism.

Malcolm Turnbull comes out straightaway and congratulated to Australian Ruby team which won over British team but journalists couldn't find Malcolm Turbull to get his comment for Muslim terrorist shot dead innocent civil police employee in Sydney. Turnbull won't be hesitated for to take credit and PR opportunity whenever he has chanced but it took more 24 hrs to come and say in fact Sydney attack was terrorism related attacked. The boy had shouting "Allah hu Akbar" in Arabic it means "God (Allah) is greatest' and shot dead Curtis Cheng and shooting at Police Officers. It was terrorism act but nothing else.

I expect Australia law enforcement won't be listening to Malcolm Turnbull and they will do what they have to do to protect innocent peoples’ lives.

Chop Chop:

" Koran should be edited and removed all inciting words about murdering on non believer infidel from book. "

That would make the Koran a lot smaller than it is. But I think you raise a good point: Religious books should not be excempt from hate speech laws, and political hate speech should be addressed as what it is, regardless if it is labelled as "religion".

As long as Western societies do not amend their "religious freedom" laws to account for a radical political movement that is also a religion, we will be losing against this.

Apparently, Australia's gun control laws are too lax if a 15 year old can get one and kill a cop with one.

In addition to what I wrote, even some native born White Australians have signed up to fight with militants. If that is going to continue, it will be a much easier sell if those groups are not killing Australian civilians.
