It seems to be open season on children in China this month.

What is going on?! Is there something in the water?

Smartacus, very smart of you

On the article, that's just one of the side effects of China's prosperity. Sounds somehow familiar, though.

At this point they might want to consider closing kindergartens for a week or two just to break the chain...

Time to get some better security around the Kindergartens and Elementary Schools. when the attack occurred in Osaka quite a few years ago that's all they talked about -- increased security, guards, and what not. Instead, in less than a year all you saw were closed gates (gates that come up to your chest). In a couple of cases this past month in China there WERE guards, that were stabbed, but at least they were there. Now... how to make them more effective...

Anyway, it's pretty clear that all the talk about 'copy cat' crimes is pretty much on the ball.

Not everyone in China is filthy rich, not everyone can go to Ginza, Paris etc..there are millions of angry Chinese who are just being abused night and day until they go nuts, welcome to raw CAPITALISM.

Yeah, pretty sure you meant to say Communism. Cause they sure as hell aren't dealing with Capitalism in China.

Glad the kids weren't burned up with this nutcase. What a bizarre crime.

The man died, but none of the children had life-threatening injuries, Xinhua said.

Thank goodness the man did have access to anything more lethal than a hammer, or who knows how many would have died.
