Another scumbag enabled to kill innocents thanks to guns! But wait... you'll hear gun-nutters argue that he could have done the exact same thing with anything else if he had the will. Like pieces of plastic fruit! He could easily have done it with those! Or he could have easily done the same with a calendar, or perhaps some lawn furniture. Another day in the US. RIP to the family. And as usual, the coward then turns the gun on himself.

Just another Saturday in Paradise.

Strangerland: "Just another Saturday in Paradise."

Indeed. And just now there are reports of yet ANOTHER shooting in Pennsylvania.

The Second Amendment strikes again. In Pennsylvania they were only wounded.

Kabukilover: Still a shooting.

Yes.

There is a serious sickness in western society, when pretty much every day you hear about random shootings and people who "just want to know what it's like to kill someone".

The solution is to fix the eroding legal system and ineffective laws in America. A good start would be to remove the wimps from elected office and vote in some people with spine. Maybe then we could have some laws with teeth and shift the focus of our legal system from litigation to criminal offenses where it belongs.

This is just sad.

Something was mentally wrong with this man, clearly. His ex-wife, her boyfriend, sisters, kids, ... it is just sad. The object used for the killings cold have been anything - a knife, a car, a barbell and it would still be sad.

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/multiple-people-shot-douglas-county/nj6ff/ has many more details.

I hate to read about this stuff. It really gives american society a black eye when looked upon from the international community. Not all american gun owners are bad people.

Not all american gun owners are bad people.

So true.

There is a serious sickness in western society

Maybe, but the sickness is limited to a certain segment of 'western society'. Why does this 'segment' require lethal weapons in the hands of 'peaceful civilians'? Surely not because an ancient provision in a constitution says you can have them, or does it? Let it be clear that western countries, except one, do not allow, have no use for, guns in the hands of civilians. Why would that be so?

A deranged killer. Anti gun media says " blame the second amendment" but would it have made news if it was arson? Front page if it was a baseball bat? No, it wouldn't on both questions because the mass media is anti-gun.

The problem here was the human defect who wanted to kill. Can we ever purge these types before disaster? It's a society challenge at the least. Who and what type of person could kill children?

The object used for the killings cold have been anything - a knife, a car, a barbell

...or frozen mackerel, segmented grapefruit, Reese's Pieces, even?

The problem here was the human defect

Pity the steel phallus inadequates, ever an act of passion from damnation by fellow fetishists.

Real men don't need guns.

The shootings took place in Douglasville, GA which is NOT Atlanta. The person who wrote this article needs to look at a map. Douglasville is at least 20 miles from Atlanta.

Domestic crime in America is out of control for the victims, the guilty, the innocent and the wrongfully accused.
