Waste of time, send them back to U.S and they will be freed ultimately.

Good to see Pakistan dealing with this responsibly.
A sad trail of deception, lies and suspension of critical faculties.
Unfortunately many other young people are making the same facile 'jihadi' conclusions based on little more than hearsay and emotion, and the prodding of troublestirrers. By fighting the forces supporting the Islamic government of Afghanistan, such people force the troops to stay longer or even, as with Obama, increase the numbers of troops.

Honestly, just a handful of impressionable young men - - boys, really. The trip to Pakistan was probably a lark. I've seen many a disgruntled dishwasher threaten to go to Afghanistan or some such nonsense, all said in jest of course.

Yeah, right. Three-quarters of all civilian deaths in Afghanistan are at the hands of the Taliban. Last I checked, Afghanistan was an Islamic country. If they really wanted to "help their Muslim brothers who are in trouble", they'd go there and fight against the Taliban, who are victimising the people far more than Western forces. Or is it okay in the Islamic religion for Muslims to senselessly kill their own, but not for others to do so?

"Three-quarters of all civilian deaths in Afghanistan are at the hands of the Taliban"
They must have been bad civiians. The Taliban seem to be getting more and more popular.

"We are jihadists, and jihad is not terrorism"
That is exactly the fundamentalist islamic doctrine, and these guys learned it right back home in mosques in the US.... while Obama is sending troops to run around in the mountains of the Hindukush.
The problem in a nutshell.

Alas, your "troublestirrers" include the leading the islamic scholars. Who do you think has more authority -- you, or they?

And what, pray tell, is your solution to the problem you've stated?

We've heard that before: "Jihad is not terrorism, but resistance against jihad, is". Unfortunately, such scum will always find eager defenders among the PC academics and the Left. We can't even name the ideology behind Jihad, for fear of offending.
