Get some, there is a reported linkage between this event and the events in Sri Lanka at the current time. Namely, the TAMIL rebels are under the hammer in Sri Lanka.

I dont think so timor. I think this was planned for the Indians who were supposed to tour but pulled the plug after the Mumbai attacks. The terrorists just went after Sri Lanka as a secondary target. Either way you cut it, a sports team gallantly touring a country to help unite peoples despite political differences does not deserve such a cowardly attack. I am sure millions of Pakistanis are distraught by this and I hope they start to lynch these thugs.

R.I.P five policemen who sacrificed their lives to protect others.

bobbafett: well put. This is absolutely disgraceful.

timorborder: too early to say but unlikely; among other reasons, the team has Tamils in it (like Murali).

The religion of peace in Pakistan. Stay tuned, the first Jihadist regime with nuclear arms is not too far away...

If you visit an Islamic nation, you take the risk of something like this happening.

sad but true.Taking terrorism to a new and uglier plane.Pakistan had better get it's house in order because I think they may be heading for some serious trouble, both internally and externally.

Is there anything that they won't rampage and murder over?

Cricket joins a list that includes but is not limited to novels, films, documentaries, elections, beauty pageants, teddy bears named 'Mohammed', bogus Newsweek stories, ice cream labels and even Nike footwear that has them foaming at the mouth and killing randomly, sometimes even their own.

Extremism must be dealt with harshly. This is getting ridiculous. It'll be in our backyard soon enough.

  • adaydream at 12:31 AM JST - 5th March

If the extremist ever get control of the country we're in real deep crap. Pakistan has nukes and if the extremist get hold of them, then we're in trouble. Real trouble. < :-)

  • Helter_Skelter at 06:06 AM JST - 5th March

Pakistan has nukes and if the extremist get hold of them, then we're in trouble. Real trouble.

Which is exactly why Islamic nations should never be allowed to have nukes. That's why Iran's nuclear facilities need to be destroyed so the same mistake isn't made again.
