The Islamic fanatics are every bit as vile and disgusting as any inquesition launched by any other religion and possibly more hideous than even NK. Poisoning schoolgirls? Women should be denied an education? A husband should be able to demand sex from his wife? Women can't drive? A man is allowed to beat his wife? Death as the punishment for "immoral" behaviour? These scum are so backward that their actions are indefensible.

"These scum are so backward that their actions are indefensible."
The only thing that is defensible is wiping them out of existence. Game on.

Ah, the religion of peace. Educating girls is against gods will, so whatever it takes to stop these haram activities.
And Obama continues to pour ressources into this black shariah hole...

Perhaps Talibans came to this earth through a crack in the land , that is why they have no feeling for human female.

WilliB: "And Obama continues to pour ressources into this black shariah hole..."
Wouldn't even be there if not for bush, since you need reminding. And if Obama suddenly decided to spend not one more penny and leave the hell-hole to the inevitable crumbling, you'd cry foul and whine about how he was leaving them after your hero invaded the place and set about what's happening. In other words, Obama inherited this from bush, and you simply choose to complain about Obama regardless of what he does because with another chief at the helm you can finally start voicing how against things in Afghanistan you are.

Careful, that's the new Afghanistan 'democracy' you're talking about! They made it law.

I wonder what all those billions of $dollars given to PyschOps and Counter Insurgency are spent on? I wonder if they are spent on demoralizing the enemy(intention)...or hoodwinking you guys into believing such hogwash(side effect)???

anybody know what chapter and verse in the so called holy koran justifies this sick behaivor?

The Taliban is an extreme islamic fundamentalist group. Most muslim societies have backed away from the Taliban's extremist position and do allow women to attend school. You can be against the Taliban's policies without being anti-muslim.

Welcome to the Taliban's pure new spiritual world. God/Allah must be happy today.

VOR:
The koran is quite clear on the inferiority of women. And in addition to the koran, islamic law is based on the haddiths and the sira. And the consistent picture is that women are property, to be kept under cover and used for pleasure and breeding -- and certainly not to be educated.
So the Taliban is quite correct in their literal interpretation of sharia.

smithinjapan:
That is correct, but Bushes original intervention was quite limited; helping the Northern Alliance kick out the OBL led regime. His mistake was expanding it from there and trying to introduce democracy.
But you certainly need reminding that both Obama and the entire left wing of his party have been crowing about expanding the mission in Afghanistan, and you also need reminding that he is doing exactly that.
Sorry, but the old knee-jerk reflex of blaming Bush does not work any more. It is Obamas mess in Afghanistan now. And yours, if you defend it.

Yes, to a limited degree. But note that all of these muslim societies are authoritarian, and are acting against the wishes of the muslim fundamentalists. Ironically, the idea of Western democracy allows muslim fundentalists to flourish, which is why Western policy towards islamism is so suicical.

WilliB- the bible and torah also take this view.

Actually the Bible doesn't put women in the position of property the way the Koran does and I would think that Torah and Talmud do not either. Even if they did you can see from practicing Christians and Jews that women are by no means subject to the abuse allowed by Islam. The other problem is that it's not just the Taliban who are extreme. Saudi Arabia is every bit as backward and barbaric when it comes to the treatment of women. In Iran women can be jailed and beaten for dressing "immodestly." But I think they can drive.
If you take Islam at face value women are treated as chattel. In some countries "moderm Muslims" are breaking the rules. But in the Middle East they are still living in the feudal system

Only one term for women under taliban control, SLAVERY is what they want for women. Keeping people ignorant is a way of control and maintaining power over others. These @$$es apparantly don't know its been done before.

This is hardly unique. Schoolgirls have had acid thrown on their faces and been beheaded in Muslim countries like Indonesia.

I just hope they catch who did this....
