" Syrian rebels have shelled residential areas in government-held parts of the contested city, killing hundreds. "

...but that does not make a headline. Instead, the headline sounds as if evil Assad is simply attacking the harmless, innocent people of Aleppo.

The journalist is giving ISIS the Hamas treatment... i.e. a world upside down. Is our press really on the side of the Jihadis?

according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

I don't understand why any unbiased journalist considers this a credible source. It's ONE GUY (go to his website, no other staff is listed)....in BRITAIN. We just take his word at face value that his "network of activists inside Syria" aren't feeding him whatever propaganda they want?

"Syrian army airstrikes killed at least 70 people, most of them civilians, and wounded scores in attacks Saturday in the northern province of Aleppo that struck civilian areas, including a packed market in a town held by the Islamic State group"

This is one of the bad points of being in a town held by IS. You might get killed.

That's exactly what he did. They barrel-bombed a crowded civilian market as "retaliation" for losses they suffered elsewhere at the hands of others. Assad is every bit as evil as Islamic State. Don't ever forget that.

Maybe Assad shouldn't have opened fire on peaceful protesters at the very beginning of this mess. That's when the chaos starts, then the fringe groups move in and take over. Sometimes your favorite dictators make their own mistakes.
