Pity. I like Some like it hot, Monsieur Cognac and most of all, his character in Paris when it sizzles: 'it's Philippe!' when he shoots Rick (William Holden)

    RIP Tony.

I wouldn't be seen dead with a woman old enough to be my wife.

At 85, he had a good innings. RIP Mr Curtis, and thanks for all the entertainment.

Thank you T.C. for all the memories I have of seeing my parents watch your movies on TV.

I remember in 'Ivanhoe' when he spoke the immortal lines, 'Yondah lies da castle of my fodda'!

I met Curtis and his twenty-something-year-old girlfriend 20 years ago when he came to Japan to exhibit his artwork, which was better than Picasso's artwork.

He first attracted critical notice as Sidney Falco, the press agent seeking favor with a sadistic columnist, played by Burt Lancaster, in the 1957 classic “Sweet Smell of Success.”

A thoroughly awesome movie. It makes one yearn for the New York of 1957, even with J. J. Hunsecker's self-consciously poetic dialogue: ****My left hand hasn't seen my right hand in over 30 years.**** Fantastic, acidic wit.

TC, although never a top-tier actor, was certainly Hollywood royalty, a sad thing it is when one of the greats goes. What a sad thing it is to grow old !

That's a real star. Give me ten Tony Curtis years, and you can have a million Ken Starr years.

    RIP Mr. Schwartz.

    Molenir

Probably my favorite Tony Curtis movie was The Great Race, with Jack Lemmon and Natalie Wood. Some Like it Hot, was pretty good as well, but the Great Race has always stayed my favorite.

    Beelz: LOL

I was ejicaded in da klassics I think Spartacus?

and Molenir. Yes. The great race. I think that was by Ian Fleming? Do I have that right? I'll watch it tomorrow, just for Tony.

If you really want to see some good TC, Houdini. Not historically accurate, but a good flick.

an American Film Institute survey of the funniest films in history ranked “Some Like It Hot” at No. 1

    And deservedly so.

I did a quick Google image search to refresh my memory as to what he looked like. He was quite the handsome devil back in the day ...
