British newspaper The Guardian reported that the U.S. government - the Obama administration - has agreed in principle to release high-ranking Taliban "officials" from Guantanamo Bay in return for the Afghan "insurgents" agreement to open a political office in Qatar. Obama will negotiate with terrorists but not with the opposition in his own country.
