A decade of destruction.

I predict another decade of senseless violence.
But what if the Taliban and/or other extremist groups topple the elected government there?
Will Obama refuse to intervene again? Will other countries step up and do something about it?

I really hope our american friends will stay there longer and longer....if they withdrawn from Afghanistan now shall losing much face and being stupid for 10 years of contributions with nothing return. In my perspective, their lost is our gain! So stay there and keep staing there with your allies!

India is the big winner in the region. China loses. Afghanistan never really changes.

This has been stupid from the start and the outcome so far was as predictable as a Hollywood movie.
The macro points are Vietnam all over again, except that by year ten some Americans were actually protesting the futility, stupidity and waste.

After 10 years what do we have, failure like all previous wars by foreign countries inside Afghanistan, the Brits and the Russians.
After 10 years we have about 2700 dead troops, 10,000 dead Afghan's including children, and a cost of about $500 billion. According to the current general in charge, the war is only half way or half won?
