All producing 3% enriched Uranium, nowhere near the 90% plus needed for a bomb. A non-issue, unless it's made into one.

Iran is testing an improved third generation of indigenously co-developed enrichment centrifuges, the IR-3 series, demonstrating its technical mastery of the technology. It has 320 tons of uranium hexafluoride gas to feed its centrifuges, enough for almost 100 bombs, but not for even a fraction of one reactor refueling operation.

The article goes on to say the IAEA is questioning why Iran is using high explosives to implode a hemispherical shell of heavy metal, developing the kinds of detonators needed in an atomic weapon, and designing a ballistic missile warhead so that it can contain a nuclear weapon.

unless it's made into one." Well, then the question is do you wait for a guy like AJ to make one or could or would or should rightfully assume is going to make one?

"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced Saturday that Iran now possesses 5,000-6,000 centrifuges used for enriching uranium,"

Hmmm, and just what is the UN and Europe going to do about it ??? Lemme guess, wait for America to act ?

Europe and the US should tidy up their own backyards of nukes before they go attacking other countries for wanting what the aforementioned countries have had for decades.

  • westurn at 04:50 PM JST - 27th July

So lemme guess sushisake3... you are ok with Irans nuclear program ? The same Iran that has openly supported the complete destruction of Israel ? Just a simple "yes or no" will suffice.

The promised "real holocaust" of the Jews (remember, the Iranian mullahs don`t accept there was a first one) is getting closer. While the West sits by and dithers.

westurn, has Iran ever threatened your country or one of your country's allies?

Your White House inspired paranoia is getting a bit out of control....

Remember how many US govt. intelligence agencies said only last year that Iran didn't have a nuke program?

Just a number will be fine, no more wild hype.

And remember, these were US govt intelligence agencies - you think you know something they don't??

You sound like the type of person who bought the wold-eyed 'Iraq has WMD!' hype, I'm sorry to say.

"westurn, has Iran ever threatened your country or one of your country's allies?"

Ever hear of Israel ??? The 1979 Iran Hostage crisis ??? Ayatollah Khomeini ??? 1983 Hezbollah bombings ??? Nahhh, didn't think so.

It's political hoopla. Got to remember that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is going to be running for office, too. < :-)
