Get the troops out of Iraq and get more troops into Afghanistan. The real/original war on terror. We can't do all the aid work and we need these agencies to do humanitarian efforts. If they pull out, it requires more troops to do this work.
Get the troops out of Iraq and into Afghanistan. < :-)
When will we hold the Taliban responsible for War Crimes and crimes against humanity? Where are all the Amnesty International types who like to say how bad gitmo is but at the same time ignore the Taliban and their criminal acts?

That's easy... when they are all caught and ready for trial. When's that going to be, you ask? Difficult question, since the 'war on terror' was side-tracked for oil-grubbing in Iraq, and since the US let Bin Laden get away, and the Taliban has begun to grow again thanks to the US making the world a more dangerous place to live.
As to the aid workers, it's truly sad, and even sadder that now more Afghanis are going to suffer. I agree with adaydream.
bushlover, I think what smith is trying to say is that he isn't particularly interested in discussing the crimes of the Taliban. He's mostly interested in talking about the United States.
Ever since we were attacked by Afghanistan/Taliban, most of us thought that this administration would take the fight back to the Afghanistan, the people who attacked us.
But we only started that fight.
Then this administration forgot about the people that did us wrong and george bush, dick cheney and condi rice took the real fight and set it to the side and went after Iraqi's natural resourses.
We have to get back into Afghanustan, protect our troops, protect our and other aid groups and we need to finish the fight with the terrorist who attacked our country. < :-)
Thanks SuperLib, I can see he's deflecting the question as he can't answer it. He can only continue with his constant chip on his shoulder about his great US neighbor. Taliban are too far away from him so he loves to 'sweep it under the rug'.
Smith can we get Michael Moore to ask that question and take a few months going around Afgahnistan talking to the Afghanis so we can get the real story on them. No more of this .... conspiracy stuff the US government feeds us eh mate? We need the real story.

Got proof? People like you were saying a year ago that Iraq was lost. Today they have a 79 billion dollar surplus. Think it comes from manufacturing? Or maybe it's all the figs they sell Japanese okonomiyaki sauce makers?
Chance to shine here, big fella - if all their oil was stolen by Bush and Cheney where did all that cashola come from?

The fact that they went after it don't mean they got it. They said it would be over in 6 months tops, that didn't come to pass. They went into Afghanistan supposedly after Bin Laden, didn't get him either.
