Its going to take a bit longer to find out what the side effects are from using this gel. Still its pretty good news though.

djuice said it best. A 50% reduction in risk of contracting HIV is like having one less bullet in a revolver while playing Russian roulette.

This is not going to be approved yet till it's further refined. The US FDA doesn't approve contraception unless it's at least 80% effective. But currently in Africa, this is better than nothing.
