If I was one of these guys who was given bonuses for sinking the company, I'd want my name on the list that I gave this money back vollenteerily. But that's me. < :-)

I'm still not sure why the bonuses were ever left in the Recover package. I understand that the treasure dept had something to do with it. Torques me off. < :-)

“Eat it now. Take it out of your profits down the road. It’s a lot sweeter now than it’s gonna be later,”

That is called basic work ethic. work towards something instead of feeling you have a right of entitlement.

He added the company may not release that information. Asked why, he responded, “Why is it cloudy today? Because sometimes it just is.”

Mark Herr!! An AIG spokesman speaking like a teenager; he deserves a punch in the gut for saying this!

Liddy replied that he was not at the firm when the contracts were negotiated, and said, as he has before, that he would not have approved them.

Lynch said the terms had been put in place in December, after Liddy arrived at AIG.

If AIG doesn't go under now, then they most assuredly will soon once people discover how the ones in charge are handling themselves and the company.

"Liddy *slid *into the witness chair at a congressional hearing"

LOL! Love the choice of words. :-)

Now Democratic Senator Christopoher Dodd has admitted to CNN in an interview that he added the amendment in the stimulus bill allowing for the bonuses. But he now says that he did so at the direction of the Obama Administration - direction that Dodd characterized as "insistent". Obama himself received over $100,000 in donations from AIG in 2008, an amount second only to Dodd.
Dodd's account has now been verified by a Treasury official:

And this is being reported by CNN - which doesn't even ask Obamba the hard questions.

I watched the AIG congressional hearing this morning.

There were two separate contract bonuses discussed. One was paid out the other wasn't.

This stuff was all put into affect before Liddy took the reins. < :-)

Does Obama plan on returning the bonus he received for AIG?

this is being reported by CNN - which doesn't even ask Obamba the hard questions.

Buyers' remorse by the MSM is starting to begin.

I'm still not sure why the bonuses were ever left in the Recover package. I understand that the treasure dept had something to do with it. Torques me off." Then you need to scream at Chris Dodd.

I want all politicians who took campaign funds from AIG in the past, all of them, to be disclosed......... R U with me aday?

  • adaydream at 10:05 PM JST - 19th March

skipthesong, I do agree with you. I don't think they are hidden though. It's been reported who got what. Yes Obama and Biden got money and McCain got $40,000.00.

While we're at it, who got money from BOA, Merril-Lynch and all the other companies needing a bailout now. < :-)

I think Rush Limbaugh, the leader of the Republican Party, needs to step in here and say something.

  • McNeoCon at 01:47 AM JST - 20th March

Limbaugh defended the insurance giant and their bonus payouts:

"A lynch mob is expanding: the peasants with their pitchforks surrounding the corporate headquarters of AIG, demanding heads. Death threats are pouring in. All of this being ginned up by the Obama administration.
